Fun with the GPS

Suzanne and Bill gave us a Global Positioning System Receiver. It's the neatest gadget we never knew we needed before. The GPS uses satellite signals to determine where we are at any particular time. It'll help us on hikes and bike rides--plus it's just really cool to always be able to see how fast you are going and how far you've gone.

Below are graphs the GPS receiver made for us on our drive from NY to DC, as well as from a very leisurely walk we took down to the national mall. There are also a few pics of the receiver itself and its mount onto our bicycle handlebars.
