Yosemite 2015!
We hiked at least 96.5 miles with 16,350 feet elevation gain. An amazing trip to an unbelievably beautiful park with two great friends!
A great first hike to get acclimated to the altitude
A few wrong turns, getting distracted by Search & Rescue, and our first glimpses of Yosemite Valley
A strenuous hike through the Twenty Lakes basin, followed by sunset at Mono Lake, and an amazing hot meal with the biggest slices of cake ever served at a gas station
A ranger-led bird-watching tour through Tuolumne Meadows followed by even more adventure up Lembert and Dog Domes and a walk out to Dog Lake - twice!
More domes! More great views!
A bit of a climb.
We spent the day soaking up the views at Glacier Point, Washburn Point, Taft Point, and Sentinel Dome!
Another gorgeous day of hiking and bird spotting!
John Muir knew a thing or two, and he thought this was the most amazing view of the valley. He was right.
In our farewell to Yosemite, a short walk to see some big trees
