This is Anna's spare room. Most Japanese homes seem not to have many pieces of large furniture. The floor is made of tatami mats. Most windows seem to be frosted glass for privacy because the buildings are close together. We brought home some rice paper and will try to make our own japanese lamp, kind of like the lamp in the lower right-hand corner of this picture.
