This was an enormous open-air mall. A 10 block by 5 block area of
the city's streets had been closed
to traffic and the streets were covered. Bill and Giselle stuck
out as foreigners because 1) we weren't
speaking japanese, 2) we weren't dressed japanese, 3) we weren't
carrying lots and lots of
shopping bags.
